Easter 2009

So I am a little behind...I've had sick kids and a sick husband for over a week now. I think we are on the mend now though. Thank goodness it wasn't the Swine Flu!

We had a great Easter holiday. Our friend Nancy and her girls Rylie and Kasey came over the day before Easter and colored eggs with us. I thought surely between the 14 eggs I had and the dozen or so Nancy brought, we would be coloring eggs into Easter morning. Boy was I wrong! The kids had a blast and were wanting to dip the eggs faster than we could take them out of the cups. On Easter morning the boys were very excited to hunt for eggs. After the hunt we had a fantastic breakfast made by Curtis and then my mom came over. She decided at the last minute to go to church with us. It was a very nice service and I was thankful our niece Ariana invited us to her church (even though she didn't show up! haha Ariana!) After church we headed over to a Coombs family Easter gathering. Surprisingly enough, the Easter Bunny showed up!!! Thanks to my nephew Josh who dressed as the Easter Bunny this year, all the kids were pretty excited, especially Nolan. Oh my gosh, he was so happy and he kept hugging him. We had a big Easter egg hunt and made about $20 in cash and tons of candy! I guess the Easter Bunny isn't affected by the bad economy. Who knew!
